As of the childporn censorship wasn't stupid enough, now countries want to censor terror propaganda as well. I'm fine with propaganda being pushed off of sites like YouTube, where it's spread to radicalize children and to make money. That's not legislation - that's just a site keeping itself clean and child friendly. Making it a crime like in New Zeeland - however - is just horrible. It's brainwash. It's going "Think freely within our terms. Don't find out what's beyond this point.". It's closing a surrounding debate. It's closing knowing consequences. After a ban, people are just free to make up stories about anything - good or bad. People can watch terror propaganda without becoming terrorists. I've read every terrorist manifesto I could get a hold of, because I have this burning need to find out what the fuck went on in these people's heads. I need to know the insanity. ...and all the time I've been open to the possibility that people like Breivik, were right all along, and I've never once thought that these people were sane and right. ...and if I can't verify this, then I have no real idea if those people were fighting some kind of just cause that I just didn't know about. ...and my point is that there is a choice. Unless you're part of some kind of social cult, you have a clear choice to educate yourself to the truth, or just blindly believe terror propaganda. Becoming radicalized from manifestos is on you. You can't point at a manifesto and say "It made me do it. It radicalized me and I was so helpless against its seductive powers.". Censoring childporn was already a mistake too many. Don't make another one. China is not a role model.

If countries start banning terror propaganda, and people bring it up shootings with me, then I'm just going to go "Well, they probably had a good reason for it. You can't prove that they didn't.". That's just being rational: If somebody believes in something so surely, that they're willing to stake their lives on it, then the burden of proof falls on the people claiming that such a person did it for no reason at all. That's the society that governments want to create now: Of people who are not allowed to think critically for themselves. They want a loyal population - not an intelligent one.

...and bans always seem to be preceeded by irrational bullshit. An example is people like The Amazing Atheist emotionally arguing "This shooter was such a coward that he had to kill people.". No, shooters and terrorists are the opposite of cowards. Shooters are much, much braver people than you social media watchers are, prepared to sacrifice their lives for a cause, irrational or not, needed or not. If emotional arguments and demeaning caricatures, is the best thing that you can come up with, then just shut your mouth. You're trying to make people stop thinking rationally, so that there will be no critical thinking left when it comes to reading propaganda. That's when a ban is instead put in place, because people and then either emotionally for or against terrorism. This is how people like TJ Kirk de facto contributes to irrationality, terrorism and censorship.

...and I want you to think about something: There's some very violent terror propaganda in the making right now, where people blow up power plants and cause countless civilian deaths because they think that the government is evil and a threat to the planet, civilians be damned. Fuck voting! Fuck politics - they're going in with guns and bombs. Just look at that man. That man is a terrorist, and that game is pure terror propaganda. That game should be banned under a censorship law.
