Had a lot of IRL responsibilities these past few weeks, but coded whenever I had free time. When posting fails, you no longer lose the contents of your post. Instead, you are presented with the post form again, so you may fix it and resubmit without having to hit the back button. I am certainly behind where I wanted to be, as I'm still merely doing post validation, and after that comes inserting a post in the database which is hard work too. But every day we get closer to our much needed reboot and reopening to outlanders.
It's amazing how much the Matrix has us. 30 000 games on the Steam platform alone. Thousands on games coming out each year, all begging for our attention and money, only to ultimately leave us with just some small amount of satisfaction a week or two later. We are paying to waste our lives away, nonstop. We're being told that we're world saving heroes, as we sit in our computer chairs rotting away day after day. Some of us complain about loot boxes, as if that would be the main problem. Gaming is an addiction in itself. 99% of it is nothing but a drug, and that little 1% we learn, isn't worth abandoning life for. We tell ourself that it will build confidence, but confidence isn't a virtue. All that happens is that we become self-deluded, thinking we matter, when we don't. If anything we need to realize what worthless scums we are, especially when we do nothing but play computer games all day. ...and this goes twice for watching anime or movies. The real world is crumbling all around us, and we've stopped caring, because we're busy caring about Equestria or some other fantasy world, "that's in such a dire need of heroic help". I've been banned from most platforms. ...and that's a good thing. The less you fit in in a fantasy forum, the more you can adapt to the real world. When you get banned, it's like the drug dealers are forcing you out the door, saying "You're not good enough to do our drugs.". At some point my ISP threatened to ban me from the internet. In the end I just got another ISP. ...but maybe that's what we all need: To get banned from the internet. There's so much that we've neglected, that we need to do in the real world, that we just don't want to do, because we've got this excuse that "there's entertainment to watch" or "games to play".
"This game requires a keyboard to play. You can buy a keyboard at the nearest keyboard store. Working human fingers are also recommended. Ask your local hospital for those. To control the character, connect the keyboard and press down its appropriate buttons. This tutorial will assume the default controls. If you have customized your controls, then this tutorial may be confusing to you. To go left, press down the left arrow key. If you do no longer wish to go left, release the left button. Sometimes there will be obstacles in the way, such as walls, which will prevent you from going left. These may require additional navigation, as part of a spatial puzzle. To go right, press down the right key. It works like the left key. However, it makes the character go in the opposite direction. Pressing down both left and right simultaneously, while possible to perform, is not intended, and therefor not recommended."
Me: "Maybe you shouldn't have made Castlevania gay, Iga." SJW Iga: "Permaban, you sexist pig!"
RPG MAKER MADNESS!!! In this thread we only communicate via RPG Maker screencaps. No words allowed! Stock assets are welcome!
Can we NOT murder things? I'm so fucking sick of it. I've never liked it, but I've been finding ways around dealing with it as best I can, trying to ignore it. ...but even ignoring it gets tiring, and with the advancing graphics, the demand - the fucking DEMAND - for extreme gore, just becomes inescapable. I know there's Train Simulator and other boring games, but why can't we go on adventures without killing stuff? ...and the double standard is so obvious: Where is Link's Rape Quest? What do you mean "Rape is bad."? Link is a reknowned mass murderer! You're telling me him going around fucking Goombahs up the ass would be worse? Just fucking stop it with the killing. It's gone beyond gross at this point, and it's just dumb and boring. I am not brain damaged. Make me a game.
Why pay2win games fail at being fun I would argue that games which give their players unfair advantages over other players for money (known as pay2win games) not only fail at being fun, but also fail at being games, they fail at the original purpose of games. First of all: Why do people play games? I guess the answer is different for everybody, but all those different reasons often (if not always) converge into some sort of escapism. Games have always been one of the main ways to escape reality. Especially people who were not successful in reality could escape into any of the diverse game worlds and find success there instead. It didn't matter that in reality you are working for minimal wage and people usually don't even remember that you exist - in some game you could have been a top class paladin, respected and admired by other players for your skills. But now they let you to bypass the game mechanics for money and they give you unfair advantages, which you can use to triumph over other players with higher skills. But that is a problem, because it directly ties success in the game to your real life success. The better job you have in real life, the more money you can spend on the game and get even more powerful in it. There is no way that you can get into the top ranks in these games without spending a significant amount of money. So suddenly you can be successful in the game only if you are also successful in the real life. So where is the escapism in that? There is none. You cannot escape reality in these games, because those games are directly tied to reality. And for me that means that they fail at their primary purpose and therefore there is no reason for them to exist.

What is/are the best Simulation-based game(s) you've ever played for PC? I've owned/played: The Oregon Trail SimEarth SimCity 2000 SimCity 3000 SimCity 4 Sim Ant Sim Tower Spore Roller Coaster Tycoon + expansions Catz (Made by P.F. Magic) And out of all of them I think SimCity 4 is my favorite one. Spore is good, sure, but once you enter space mode it just gets really repetitive and the expansion for Spore is a joke. I don't know if it counts as a sim-game but I've heard the Black and White series was really good.

Hey I'm looking for ways to wall hack/speed hack in SMITE the moba game by HiRez. Any information would be neat
Anyone remember playing this back in the day? Before my mom bought a new family computer (upgraded from Windows 95 to XP) I used to make it routine that whenever we went to a store with computers on display I'd pull this game up, play a quick game then type in "NIGGERS" for my high score. Never got caught because none of the sales clerks ever paid close enough attention to what I was typing and my folks were off browsing in an aisle around the corner. I always got near 1M but I've never broken it which is really lame, I know.
Hi. So I'm looking for some good freeware games to kill time with. I have a shitty computer (~1GB of RAM) so I can't play anything that requires a lot of RAM or processing power. I tried to re-play Soldat the other day but I kept getting a bullshit error about a lack of OpenGL support on my video card so I couldn't get back into it again. So I've tried out Under the Garden, beat Knytt and am dying like a motherfucker in Spelunky often. I've only made it to the first jungle level 3 times out of 65 tries or so. I beat Cave Story (again) recently and just need something new to try out. No fighting, racing, sporty or Room Escape-type games please. Please summarize what the game is about and if you know the genre please list that too. I would appreciate any suggestions.
This isn't for games per se but to branch off of my Sim-game thread >>4482, I've played around with a few simulators here and there over the years and I'm curious as to what (if anyone) you guys have had the most fun messing around in with. For me, while I do not have access to a computer that can handle the graphics anymore, I really enjoyed modding the shit out of Celestia--a super interactive 3D universe consisting of (mainly) our local galaxy. It's even been utilized by NASA for its accuracies. You can zoom in on planets, moons, asteroids, objects, etc., follow their orbits, simulate being on the object and simulate what it'd be like on it, or launch from it, go back in time, see constellations, etc. Travel faster than the speed of light to distant worlds, stars, and so on. https://celestiaproject.net/ One simulator I came across recently looked like it'd be real fun to fuck around with but you need a decent computer to handle the graphics plus the latest version isn't free unlike Celestia. It's called Universe Sandbox and it simulates physics in space. Want to ram two planets together? Let's do it. How about stars? Fuck them too! http://universesandbox.com/ So, what other simulators have you guys fooled around with and have enjoyed?
Hello chums, I have created a general discord /v/ room for all chans and vidya interests. Discord is very extreme with its rules and can ban servers really fast, so it is a place to mostly just play games with each other and make friendships, but you can also post non loli lewd vidya in their respective rooms (discord will ban any lewd drawings under 18) Here is the invite: https://discord.gg/jfCDcXB
Does anyone here play this pre-alpha (currently just a free-for-all deathmatch thing) Naruto-esque game and if you do then what do you think of it? What I really like about it is how frequently it's updated, how good the combat system seems to be (even if it's really bare bones at the moment) and how close the developers seem to want to be to their fan base. https://www.shinobilifeonline.com

Steam Winter Sale is in full effect This is a rare off chance and I might not get any replies but who knows. Maybe there is one of you who is resistant to purchase a video game because you don't have anybody to play with. If you would like: Just post a game below and I will check it out (or others will) Maybe we have similar interests and I may want to purchase the game with you and we can co-op a new game together. Would be fun. Just know I'm American with an American time-zone and possibly do not have mic chat capabilities

Skunkwerks Games along with William Gibson, the father of cyberpunk, is making a sci-fi action game: MEG 9: Lost Echoes. Looks like a hybrid between vehicular combat and tower defense. Gibson has been advising the development of the world and narrative of the game since the beginning of development. According to Gibson he wrote a lot of backstory. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=421935572 http://skunkwerkskinetic.com/ https://youtu.be/uBzgToMVo3I

http://youtu.be/7i23ZDoxClk Do we agree with dragon dildo kid? I pretty much do. This video if anything made me worried about the direction witcher 3 is taking. It didn't feel like him at all in that movie, he acted like every western console game hero being edgy and 'bad ass' as people point out. And we don't need to point out anyone who uses the word bad ass is a huge faggot who doesn't know the first thing about video games. Let´s hope Witcher 3's writing remains mature and non-epic
I own a CYBERPOWERPC gaming rig and I use STEAM gaming services/application I have this exact XBOX360 controller from years back when I played XBOX. But the damn thing doesn't respond when I plug it into my computer. I think it is too old I want to play PC games with a controller because I'm more used to that but it doesn't respond. I think I have to buy a new one Which controller can I purchase that works with PC Steam games and is good?
We okay with a Dota thread? Who have you been playing? How have the matches been going? Enjoying the pro scene?
Im all ears for any general newbie advice to a person who just bought their first gaming rig. Like where to get games. Sites to look at. Typical gamer advice to optimize the gaming experience Also, bought a $1500 rig but still need a monitor so any advice there is also appreciated I plan to buy Oblivion first to mod it and have fun. Then after I save up more money I will actually try and get into PC exclusives. My cousin wants me to get into some game - StarOcean? i think it was named Apparently the biggest crowd funded game ever
I will be, very shortly, starting a Skyrim character after years since I played the original on XBOX. I never played any of the DLC so there is a lot of content I'll happily get to play I plan on creating a loli Summoner-type character with a backstory that I am super magically strong but physically very weak so I summon pets to protect me and run away from battles. I plan to call her "Lily" or "Lilly" or however is the correct way of spelling it >Do you know any strong magical loli characters in fiction that I can model her from? Only one that comes to my head is "Eiko" from FFIX or Tatsumaki from OnePunchMan
Disregard picture Anybody have an easy to follow guide or can give tips on how to Mod Oblivion? For a first timer who has never played PC Games like this or modded anything before
I seriously hate Steam sales, mostly because CSGO is on sale at least 4 times a year and all that means is more smurfs, more trolls, and more cheating. Valve's official matchmaking has become roughly 80% shit. Thanks Gaben...
