Thanks for reporting my post i appreciate it ??????????????????????????????????????????????/
>>6961 It's still there, I guess Gad will restore it when he reviews the reports. I've no clue why it was reported, though.
>>6963 They thought they'd be smart and report it to get an answer but that never works out and it didn't either this time >>6960
>>6969 Probably a new guy, the regulars (all 5 of us) wouldn't do something that stupid. Although... if a regular want's to pretend to be a noob that would be a good way to do it.
Can you do something about false reports? Since you disabled Gmods from seeing who is abusing the report feature recklessly, perhaps to censor users, the amount of false reports has skyrocketed. Always dismissed too. I'm pretty sure its the same user that always gets called out, but only you know for sure.
>>6830 >volunteer btw
20 posts really is a lot when it's this dead. Wish I had my old account..
>>6943 post your account name, and Ill donate you 20 posts. Or goto /test/ and make 20 one letter/number posts, they can even be the same, no filter here. You can even delete them if you want, and it won't remove them from your post count.
>>6943 >>6944 Orrrrrrrr Do 20 meaningful, well though posts. Actually contribute to make CC less dead. And if you do I will give you posts.
sooo ...hey.... when can we expect mass banning of IPs ?
>>7266 so what about curious.wtf ??
>>7267 looks like its gone rogue
>>7265 >the site is turning to shit. Newsflash boi: the site has been stillborn since its rebirth.
>>5664 Hopefully never. Isn't not getting banned kind of the point of this website?
Hey Gad, here's a suggestion: Could you add the autorefresh timer to the reports page? It would help to see what's "new" directly from the tab bar. That's all, picture unrelated.
>>6696 Oh ok, I thought it was something more trivial than that. Thanks man!
Your spamfix is doing wonders gad. Definitely not seeing spam links all over the front page. No sir-ee. /s
>>6471 >If you remove the spam from the equation, necrobumping is not necessarily bad That's not the response I was getting while I necrobumped threads left and right intentionally on /b/ months ago trying to spur some activity. It worked to some degree but most of it was of retards bitching about it instead of making new threads that encouraged discussions about other things. >I'm not sure why he stopped deleting boards... That's because gadette is a lazy nigress my fellow chum. I personally don't understand the point of keeping them around either.
>>6474 Heh, people complain, I didn't mind the necrobumping. Just ignore the autistic screech or, like me... learn to actually enjoy it. Of course, if you learn to do you'll go to hell, like me.
What if... <tinfoilhat> Gad doesn't want to get rid of the spam because those sites are actually FBI monitored sites, and the permanent spam is the price Gad had to pay to keep himself out of jail when they took down Masterchan... </tinfoilhat>
>>6476 Doubt it. If you do a search on DDG of one of the spam links you'll find that there are several other sites/boards where there are no active posters that they spam on. Why is beyond me. Apparently on 32chan they're seeing spam on some boards identical to ours, mainly on /nofap/ which I find terribly amusing.
>>6479 I doubt it too, but it was such an outlandish theory I had to write it down. Also it would be really funny if true.
I wish we had this much control over our own boards. It would even potentially help keep the spam down on the current ones owned by active/semi-active users.
>>6326 I think gadette should just wipe all the board accounts from people who haven't logged in in at least a year (which is still too lenient but I'm trying to be fair here) which would eliminate most of the dead boards probably. And cut down on the boards the spammer lays waste to all the time. ...and nuke /candy/ while we're on it.
>>6331 ...and TLC.
>>6333 I have it hidden, but that board too.
>>6335 That won't ever happen, sadly...
>>6319 >>6331 Candy was transferred to a new owner back when boards used to expire courtesy of gad ,so nuking candy probably won't ever happen
are we under new ownership. ...dear mr gad, please explain recent and future changes
so who ever's in charge ... why not speak to us...or at least to me
>>7189 May be Gad doesn't have anything to say specifically to you. Get your attention elsewhere.
>>7189 Your question was already answered.
Hey gadette, I know you're the almighty deity here and while most of us appreciate all that you have done here, have you thought about taking on an assistant to collaborate with for coding projects for improving this site while you're busy with whatever it is you do in RL? We rarely hear from you anymore about, well, anything really. And this site will never resume its former glory (in a different form of course) if progress made at a snail's pace.
>>6203 I think it's a matter of money mainly, the code of this chan is Gad's, perhaps adding another person would make his secret code vulnerable, paying another admin? Sure but that's a lot of money for something I'm sure is giving a net loss every month. Again, that's only my opinion.
>>6204 I never said anything about paying another person. It could be done on an entirely voluntary basis. Not everyone is motivated by money you know. Personally I'm surprised gadette hasn't added in a feature for donations. It might help in the motivation department to get things done in a more timely (and desired) manner.
>>6206 I get it what you say. Voluntary work is ... unreliable at best. Also, perhaps there's implications of accepting donations (the reputation of this chan doesn't help either), we didn't take in consideration, for example the obligation to have some sort of record of activity or a serious spam filter based in information Gad doesn't want to keep. I'm sure he considered the available alternatives already and this is the best we can have given the circumstances. Alas, I'm agree with you, it would be great more communication with Gad.
>>6206 >I'm surprised gadette hasn't added in a feature for donations. Stupid outlanders
>>6212 >outlanders Where?
How many mods are left? From the occasional bitching of a certain poster here I have deduced there is still at least one around.
>>6138 >Virgin chan You have to go back
>>6138 Are we talking about /candy/ - candydoll reborn? You can post candydoll all day long, on that or any other board, without any deletions.. Lurk moar.
>>6132 Here's a list for ya honey buns http://web.archive.org/web/20170205021227/https://masterchan.org/ Enjoy!
>>6139 If it were more active I'd probably spend all my time there because it's one of the few (if only) *chans where intelligent people actually exist. There's a lot of elitism, /pol/tards and trolls but I can deal with shit like that. Plus there's no spam. Like, ever. >>6140 No, I was talking about /tinylotuscult. Derp. >>6141 Bookmarked that ages ago but it's still a good reference point.
I wonder why Gad stopped to delete custom inactive boards like before. What changed?
Just an idea to throw out there to combat future spam: For every reported post made that account has to wait an extra 5 minutes to make another one. This isn't a solution obviously but a mere bandaid to reduce the amount seen when there don't seem to be any mods around to take care of it. >pic unrelated
>>6105 >Please keep this links, and visit regularly (update Daily) lol, no.
>>6095 I really wanna believe in gad also, ...but its hard
>>6095 yes this is why I keep coming here too. If gad can ever get the spam under control this site has such a clear goal and vision. It'd attract people. But man, I wish we'd hit that era already. Gad has a different vision for a chan and its never hit its full fruition.
>>6129 Well Gad is very slow in making stuff for the site, took nearly a year to get the first bits of an anti-spam system.
>>6129 >>6130 Considering how low this site is on gadette's priority list I'm surprised they've kept paying to have the site stay up. I can't imagine much (if any) revenue to coming in to this site (including curious.wtf).
>can't get in to secret anymore :(
iv never been to sekrit, i didnt think it was real
the secret is a lie , just like the cake
>>4652 See /global/ It's really simple.
>>7087 he got in ages ago and then someone told him to fuck off
I think spammer himself testing out a new tactic.
>>6005 Yeah, he posts one word comments (usually unrelated) to get posts to spam once and get banned. Rinse and repeat. feel free to call it "tactic" >>6006 Really? Your comment makes me think you're one of the spammers.
>>6008 I think so
Content here is useless
>>6020 It was, his post got wiped along the spam. >>6021 said the butthurt pedospammer
I just had another anon ID deleted. I did not break any rules or report any posts using the ID. How do I find out why it was deleted? If I did something wrong I have no way of knowing what it was.
>>5865 Proof of what? Gad dismissed those false reports already. Quit getting hung up on nonsense and move on. Learn from your mistakes, it's in the past now. /thread
>>5866 Why are you getting in the way of other's trolling? Is "/thread" your signature? are you samefagging? don't you tell me you think you can control the thread, that would be sad
>>5866 >Can't provide proof of said posts What a shocker.
>>5864 >So maybe you have put your password in wrong I could create the ID again so it was not a password problem.
>>5869 It was clearly a user problem
Hey gadette, do you have any plans on coding something in so when posts/threads get reported that they are automatically hidden from the public's view until they are either deleted or verified? The constant spam is a massive eyesore and is keeping the few people who used to post here away. Plus even unintentionally looking at it is illegal in most countries...
The problem with that is that it makes too easy for someone to report a thread and hide it. I'll think about it
Maybe add a feature to hide all reported post, that you must opt into.
I think this is a bad idea. >>5626 >The problem with that is that it makes too easy for someone to report a thread and hide it. Even the OP was reported, with this it would have been hidden...
>>5626 Then just do what has been done to my accounts for dicking around--delete them without warning. Or make a separate list beneath the latest ten posts for hidden posts (and have them listed like they were on MC - see pic related)? Oh on that note, could we get the option to condense the posts on this version of the site to the old version as well? It'd make reporting text spam less tedious in my opinion.
Bring back >Outlanders
>>6362 Other chains other rules, just open one account, spammed do it thousands times a day w it hour problems, so you shouldn't have one either.
>>6365 >being triggered enough to report a troll post t. Zerolevel
Gad, Why isn't this showing up on the reports screen? https://ccluster.com/7up/thread/3525#4162
>>5367 For what?
>>5367 I've a half eaten pizza crust.
>>5368 for the file sharing websites which require premium accounts to download
>>5370 Why? What content do you get that you can not get for free elsewhere?
>>5178 I have discovered the glitch in the matrix. I accidentally hit delete post instead of delete all posts With permab& checked. The rest of the spam made by that anon ID disappeared from the reports page after that, but remains on the boards it was posted on. Only you can see those spam posts now because the account has been deleted. It all makes sense now. The same way I wouldn't see posts on the report screen that were made more then 24 hours ago.
hey administrator, what is more important to you, let me ask you, what is legally wrong or what is morally wrong https://ccluster.com/tinylotuscult/thread/13890 🖢 how can you sleep well at night allowing stuff like this on your place
>>5842 You're still crying about this? It's time to move on chum. Quit dwelling on the past.
>>5842 There's a big diffrence between reporting something accidently when your report a 100 or so spam posts and malicously reporting things that are fine. Someones still going around just reporting posts cause they don't like them.
so ..im the TLC guy, i avoided this thread because im obvsly-bias. i was surprised that THAT thread was the only singled out. more often then not its the 7 years old in their little pink/purple panties. and also, kek, i ave report some of my own threads accidentally, more then a few. also TLC isnt for everyone, that's pretty much the whole idea. read the pic.
>>6631 why does that boy have his dress tucked into his panties ?
Could we get official clarification on what is appropriate to report and what is not? There is no documentation on this feature that I could find other than to report illegal images and/or content.
>>5168 >Show me. I don't see where you came up with that figure--unless English is not your native language. Translation: I won't bother and I can't read properly my own post. Gotcha, don't worry, I'll just ignore what you wrote.
>>5169 >Translation: I won't bother and I can't read properly my own post. Ah, you're that guy that uses the English translator. Explains why your posts make even less sense than my own. Gotcha. Don't worry--I'll just ignore what you wrote.
>>5158 spam and illegal content
>>5158 Anything you dislike
>>5027 the reason being, if someone spots exploits with the source code, I'd have less time to work on them
>>5027 >2months™ Standard answer
>>4978 >So many claims I can't afford Wat?
